The painting depicts designs associated with Kapi Tjukurrpa (Water Dreaming) at Kalipinypa. This is an area northwest of Kintore in the Central Western Desert of Australia. De dreaming tells a story about an important rain making ceremony to invoke the elements.
Please note that all First Nations Art is created from a so called ‘Birds Eye’ view. This means that the paintings can be hung either horizontally as well as vertically.
