We are delighted to highlight All about Eve, a major retrospective dedicated to the work of Eve Arnold, currently on view at Fotomuseum aan het Vrijthof in Maastricht.
Bringing together 130 black-and-white and colour photographs, the exhibition offers an extensive overview of Arnold’s remarkable career, with a particular focus on her work from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s. Intimate portraits of cultural icons such as Marilyn Monroe, Marlene Dietrich and Malcolm X are presented alongside her socially engaged photojournalism and photographs from her travels around the world.
As the first female member of Magnum Photos, Arnold became one of the most influential photographers of the twentieth century. Her curiosity, empathy and ability to connect with the people she photographed are visible throughout her deeply human body of work.
